DIY Keratin Treatment?!

Hi everyone,
So today i'm doing a review about the Organix Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy 30 Day Smoothing Treatment. This is basically a do it yourself formaldehyde-free keratin treatment. This should eliminate up to 95% of the frizz and curl! Doesn't that sound amazing? And guess what, it's also very affordable! :). Sounds like heaven, right?

So... how does this product work?

Step 1: Wash your hair with the Pre-Shampoo(this is included in the package)
Step 2: Towel dry and comb your hair. Make sure that your hair is 80% dry.
Step 3: Shake bottle very well and apply the treatment to small sections. Do not over saturate.
Step 4: Comb the treatment through your hair.
Step 5: Let the treatment sit on your hair for 30 minutes.
Step 6: Blow dry your hair(use a brush to pull your hair straight.) Make sure that your hair is 100% dry after you blow dried your hair.
Step 7: Flat iron your hair on high heat(230 °C). Don't worry, there's a thermal heat protection in the treatment to protect your hair from overheating.

Step 8: Leave the treatment in your hair for 48 hours. In the meantime do not wet your hair, bend your hair, tuck your hair behind your ears or anything like that.. Just leave your hair down.
Step 9: Wash & condition your hair with a sulfate free and sodium chloride free shampoo & conditioner.

Okay, let's start from the very beginning. As you can tell there's a before and after photo of my hair. My hair is very curly and very frizzy. I just really wanted to get rid of the frizz. This product definitely helped me with that. My hair is so much less frizzier! That's definitely a pro! Is my hair less curlier? Not really. There's just a slight change, but for the most part my hair is still curly. Do i recommend this product? Yes and no..

Pro's:
- Less frizz.
- It softens the hair.
- It nourishes the hair.

Cons:
- Your hair can feel quite greasy after you flat iron your hair.
- It's also a bit sticky.
- It definitely doesn't straighten your hair or anything like that.

- This whole process is very time consuming.

So.. Am i going to buy this product again? Maybe. It definitely makes my hair less frizzier, but am i willing to do this whole process every month? I'm not sure about that..

Inner beauty - Wat houdt je tegen? -DUTCH-

Dit vraag ik me af. Wat houdt ons nou eigenlijk tegen? Niets.

Hi everyone,
So today i'm reviewing the L'oréal Miss Manga mascara(price: 14,49). This mascara promises you a lot of volume and the appearance of bigger eyes, but is that actually true? That's what i'm going to tell you in this review.

The secret of this mascara is the brush. This brush is designed to make sure that applying mascara on your bottom and upper lashes becomes easier. The brush is also very flexible so that you can make zigzag movements. I really like that because it's a lot easier with applying the mascara.

A before and after picture of my eye(i applied just one coat on my upper eyelashes)
In this picture i applied two coats on my upper eyelashes.
On camera my lashes look better, but in real life my eyelashes looked a lot more clumped together

So does this mascara actually makes your eyes appear bigger? Yes, but not a lot. It does give you more volume on your eyelashes, which is a plus. The thing that i really do not like is that if you apply 2 or more coats this mascara can make your eyelashes look more clumped together, so watch out with applying more coats than one. This mascara does makes your eyelashes look a little longer which i definitely like.

Pro's:
- This mascara does makes your eyelashes look a little longer & makes your eyes look a bit bigger.
- The brush is flexible which makes it easier applying the mascara.
- This mascara gives your eyelashes more volume
- This mascara makes your eyelashes look very dark & mysterious which is definitely a pro.
- At the end of the day your eyelashes will still look fabulous.

Cons:
- You can't really apply to much coats because if you do that your eyelashes are going to look more clumped together
- It isn't the most affordable mascara(in the Netherlands)

So.. Would i buy this mascara again. Yes i would. This is a very good mascara if you do not apply a lot of coats. This mascara is a bit on the expensive side, but you do get what you want. I do recommend this mascara if your looking for more volume.

This was my review about the L'oréal Miss Manga mascara. I hope i helped you guys out. See you next time! :-)

Curly hair tips! - ENGLISH.

Hi everyone,
Okay, as some of you guys may know.. My hair is very curly and very frizzy. When i was younger my mom had no idea how to take care of my frizzy hair. I would always go to school looking like a little sheep, but now after years I found out what works the best for my hair and what may also will work for your hair :-).

1. MOISTURIZE YOUR HAIR!! This is very important! Moisturizing your hair prevents frizz, breakage and dryness. Curly hair tends to get dry very quick, so that's why it's so important to moisturize your hair. Also curly hair tends to get frizzy and moisturizing your hair will prevent that. There are a lot of moisturizers out there so I recommend you to do your research and find out what works for your hair, because hair is never the same. What works for me might not work for you at all.

2. Deep condition your hair. This is the key to healthy hair. If you straighten your hair a lot or if you use heat on your hair I recommend you to deep condition your hair. You can totally make your own deep conditioner by mixing some oils like argan oil, olive oil, caster oil, coconut oil.. Leave it in for a couple hours or overnight and then wash it. Thank me later :)

3. Stay away from heat! Say NO to straighteners, curling irons and blow dryers. It's okay to use heat every now and then but don't make it a routine to use heat everyday. Heat is going to damage your hair and it's extremely hard to 'heal' the damage.

4. Try not brush your hair when it's dry especially if you have very curly hair. That's just going to make your hair frizzy and who wants frizzy hair?! Try to comb your hair when it's wet with some kind of moisturizer or leave-in conditioner.

5. If your hair tends to get frizzy easily than this can help you: wrapping a satin headscarf around your hair every night you go to bed. This is going to prevent frizz. I do this and trust me, it works!

6. Try to use as many as possible natural/organic hair products. Most normal hair products will most likely dry out your hair or make it very frizzy. That's why I recommend to use more natural hair products like: Kinky curly, Shea Moisture, Dr Organic...

7. Do your research on the web! There's a lot of information on the web about curly hair. You can also watch some YouTube videos. There are TONS of videos about curly hair!

8. Last but not least.. Love your hair and rock your curly hair! Everyone's hair is beautiful it's just about how you take care of your hair! Remember: Healthy hair is the best hair! :-)
